Over 9 Months Pregnant (41+ weeks)
If forty weeks have come and gone and you’re still pregnant, chances are you’re not a happy camper right now. Every hour can seem like an eternity as you wait for your baby to come. Although it may be difficult, try to stay active during this time. Go for several walks, call friends, go out to lunch, do anything to get your mind off having this baby. You will drive yourself crazy if you just sit and wait.
Want to speed labor along? Try some home methods of inducing labor. Home methods not working? If your doctor hasn’t already scheduled an induction, be sure to ask about this at your next appointment. Many doctors won’t let you go over two weeks past your due date. Your doctor may opt to strip your membranes during your next appointment, which may also speed things along.
