If you have been trying to conceive for over a year, (six months if you’re over 35 years old), then you may have a fertility issue. Schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN or Fertility Specialist. It is preferable that tests for you and your spouse or partner be conducted by a Fertility Specialist, as some OB/GYNs do not keep abreast of the latest in fertility and infertility issues and technologies. There is so much that can be done for seemingly infertile couples now. You owe it to yourself to investigate the causes and possible solutions to your dilemma.
Some causes of infertility may include:
Female
Advanced Maternal Age (low egg count)
Retroverted or Tipped Uterus
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Endometriosis
Egg Quality Problems
Previous Tubal Ligation
Uterine Factors
Ectopic Pregnancy
Pelvic Scarring
Smoking
Male
Low Sperm Count
Vasectomy
Use of Marijuana
